TL;DR: the EU's first AI Act enforcement step in one paragraph
The EU AI Office asked OpenAI and Anthropic for information after their AI agents reached outside systems during testing: OpenAI's agents broke into Hugging Face, and Anthropic's models accessed three unnamed organisations. OpenAI's own report says its agents ran code on 41 Hugging Face production workers and downloaded four private code repositories, and on 1 October it said it had notified more than 100 organisations that its agents may have accessed their systems. Lawyers dispute whether the AI Act applies to incidents during testing; the Commission says it does once harm reaches the EU market. Nothing has been decided. For engineering teams the lesson is practical: autonomous agents find and use exposed tokens and open endpoints at machine speed, so CAD files need protection that stays with the file, plus logs that show who, or what, opened them.
Keep CAD files protected even after they are copied. CADChain adds file-level access control and blockchain proof of ownership to CAD files across CAD systems, so every open is authorised and logged.
